Set up ASMTP in Outlook for Mac
The settings you will need

If your provider blocks port 587 as well as 25, try 465, then 2525.
- Open Outlook. In the menu bar click Outlook, then Settings (or Preferences), then Accounts.
- Select the account you want to send through ASMTP.
- Under Outgoing server, click the server box and enter smtp.asmtp.com. Set the port to 587.
- Tick "Use SSL to connect" (this is Outlook's name for an encrypted connection).
- Tick "Override default port" if it is shown, and make sure the port says 587.
- Click "More options". Set Authentication to "User Name and Password" and enter your ASMTP username and password.
- Close the window. Send yourself a test message and check it appears in your ASMTP sending log.
If the new Outlook for Mac will not show these options for your account type, add the account as IMAP instead and repeat the steps.
Trouble?
- Cannot connect: try port 465 with "Use SSL to connect" ticked.
- Authentication failed: the username is the short login name we gave you, not your email address.
